Neck Lift is a surgery designed to reduce the loose look of sagging skin in the neck area and under the jaw line. There are a number of different surgical techniques for necklift (Platysmaplasty) that have evolved with increasing demand for this type of surgery and surgeons’ quest for better results. A general anaesthetic is required usually and it lasts 3 hours.
A mini-face lift repositions the skin and soft tissues of the face that have been affected by the aging process. The principle difference between a mini- lift and other types of face lift is that the mini- lift features a significantly reduced scar burden. The scarring in the crease behind the ear and in the hairline behind the ear is largely or completely eliminated.
All surgery carries risks and every incision leaves a scar. However, with endoscopic surgery, your scars are likely to be hidden, much smaller and some of the after effects of surgery may be minimized. In a typical endoscopic procedure, only a few small incisions, each less than one inch long, are needed to insert the endoscope probe and other instruments.
A face lift (technically known as a rhytidectomy) allows you to "set back the clock," improving the most visible signs of aging by removing excess fat, tightening underlying muscles, and redraping the skin of your face and neck. A face lift can be done alone, or in conjunction with other procedures such as a forehead lift, eyelid surgery, or nose reshaping.
